Send your first PPV

Learn how to create and send pay-per-view (PPV) content on InnerText. Set a price, attach media from your vault, and let fans unlock it with one tap.

PPV (pay-per-view) is one-time paid content. You send a teaser in the text body and a paywall link; the fan pays, unlocks, and views the full media in their browser. No app required.

How to send one

  1. In the Inbox (1:1 or mass message composer), click + PPV.
  2. Pick the media from your Vault, or upload new.
  3. Set the price: anywhere from $1 to $10,000.
  4. (Optional) Set a purchase window, for example, "available for 24 hours." After that, the unlock link expires.
  5. Write the message body: your teaser plus a call-to-action.
  6. Send.

The fan receives the message with an unlock link. Tapping it shows a paywall, the fan enters their card (or uses a saved one), and the full media loads.

Pricing tactics

  • $5–$15: daily PPV drops, mass-sent to everyone. High volume, lower price.
  • $15–$50: niche or premium drops, sent to engaged segments.
  • $50–$300+: custom content, one-of-one, or top-spender drops to your Whales segment.

You'll feel out what your fans pay. Most creators start with $10 mass drops and ladder up.

Purchase windows (urgency)

A clear purchase window can create useful urgency, but the result depends on the audience and offer. Test a 24-hour window against an open-ended offer, then keep the version with the stronger paid unlock rate. Try 24h on mass drops and 48 to 72 hours on premium segments.

What fans see

  • The teaser text and the unlock link
  • The paywall page with the price and a small blurred preview
  • After payment: the full image, video, or audio with no app to install

Fans cannot save the media to their device directly through the paywall; it streams from our CDN.

Refunds and chargebacks

You can manually refund a PPV from the conversation. Chargebacks are handled per Refunds and chargebacks; repeat chargebackers get auto-blocked. Fans can review the Refund Policy for their refund eligibility.
